Happy Friday!

Happy Friday Everyone! Another beautiful day in the city! I hope this weekend turns into a great one. Town is buzzing with the NCAA Regional Baseball Tourney going on this weekend...GEAUX TIGERS!

We are hoping to finish moving this weekend. It has been a great experience so far! Our new furniture is beautiful and we thank and appreciate his grandparents soooo much for getting it for us! I will post pictures once my sister, mother, and Aunt Lou come and apply their wonderful decorating skills to make my home look more like a home! Right now its still basically boxes! We did have a few visitors yesterday as we continued to move in! Zach and Liz came to visit and Liz helped put out a few things while Zach played with MeMe! Then, after a quick trip to Wal-Mart to make a few groceries we were back home and going to bed. The BEST thing about living in Baton Rouge and 2 miles from work...I slept til 7:15!!!!! It was in one word...FABTASTIC!

I would also like to in this blog introduce my beloved kitty Sophie. She is a 1 year old Calico cat. Keith and I got her last year before my knee surgery so I would have company as I recovered. She quickly made her territory known as she became Queen of our house. She is SPOILED SPOILED SPOILED. That's ok though, right? She is definitely apart of our little family and yes, we like to treat her as if she were human rather than just a cat. She visits the spa, has baths, goes to the vet, and drinks purified water! She has not yet moved to our new home, and I miss her so much, but I know she will love it there. I am including a picture of Sophie...

As I wrap things up today, I am trying to think of things that I want to be sure to include in this blog. Things that make me, me. I'm no writer thats for sure! I always did well writing papers in high school and college (mine and Keith's!) but I find it's easier to write when you have something to work with, and I don't always have something to work with. But I hope that with time. I will get better. I'm not sure what my little blogs will include daily...but I will think about it...I have some ideas. Until then, have a fabulous weekend! And come visit us! I will cook....MAYBE!

Peace in the East,

Renee'

Let's do this....

Hi all! Its a beautiful afternoon here as I look out over Baton Rouge from my 4th floor window...Doesn't look like it will be an afternoon filled with rain as so many summer days in South Louisiana are. I decided to do this blog due to well...boredom. I'm not sure how good at it I will be or if I will continue it long but I will give it a shot. Since I had not planned on this, I will have to take pictures to post. So that will be in the works.

I read about this little girl today, Adrianna. She is currently battling neuroblastoma with mets to the bone marrow. This poor little girl is undergoing chemo and fighting the battle of her life. Please send up a prayer for her and her family. They are in New Orleans undergoing her treatment and living in a hotel.

This past weekend was Memorial Day and it is one of my favorite holidays. It is the official kick off for Summer for me. Saturday afternoon Keith and I made our way to Uncle Kenny and Aunt Lou's to get things ready for the big weekend. Uncle Steve, Aunt Cindy, and my favorite cousin Emile showed up shortly after and we cleaned the boat, did some fishing, played the Wii, and cooked some pretty delicious hamburgers. Sunday was a even bigger day. Luke, Zach, and Liz arrived and I taught Luke how to tube! We even got up to 15 mph at one point! He told me his favorite part was hitting the bumps. Sunday we had so much food, it could have been Christmas time...we never go hungry! Monday was much the same as Sunday. Lots of boat riding, swimming, and eating! Keith tried to learn to ski...unfortunately he failed...maybe next time!

Keith and I are officially becoming city people and moving to Baton Rouge. We are very excited. We are less than a mile from Death Valley and it also puts me 3 miles from work, and Keith 10 miles from work! Think of all the gas we will surely save! I can't wait to post pictures of our new condo and hope everyone will come visit us!

I will write again soon. As I think of more things to say. Until then, happy blogging...and remember....Keep Looking Up...Cause that's where it all is!
