On Tour.....

Hi! And welcome to our home!

We are so glad you stopped by! I hope you enjoy looking at our Christmas decorations! Please leave me a comment so I can check yours out too!

Let's get started.

To start off, this is our tree. Keith and I cut down a tree each year and always have a blast. Well I do at least, Keith complains that I take too long to pick it out, but its always fun. This year, I was in the recovery stage from surgery so the pain pills were really talking to me! I love our tree, even if the base of it is slightly crooked....causing it to fall over after I got all the ornaments on it....

Quite possibly my favorite thing about my tree is the HUGE bow on top that my sister made for me. I love it!!!!

In case you haven't figured out my Christmas "theme"....it is red and green....lots of red and green! I found this red/green polka dot paper this year at HollyDays in Baton Rouge and bought it immediately. I even got boxes...the smaller boxes came from Wal Greens....everything must match!

Our stockings, these are new this year, and I am not sure if I like them yet...I love Soph's but I think I want some with Keith and my name on them...Soooo I am working on that....

Quite possibly one of my favorite pieces of furniture..Keith made this table for me out of really old wood found at the bottom of the MS River and old church pews...I love it!!!!!!!! I have 2 small trees on this table and a decanter with glittery swizzles...

This book is also on the table. My mom and dad used to collect these books and I have taken them now...I love them! I read them every year...even though I know exactly what they say.

This is hanging above the door that leads into the study....

Our counter has garland lining it with lots of red and green balls in it....Sophie loves to try to tear this down daily!

This year, I decided I wanted to start collecting something "Christmas" and I decided on Santa Clause's.....so Keith went out and bought me my very first Santa...I love it...I hope to get a new one each year...

This is probably one of the most meaningful Christmas decorations...My late Uncle Skipper hand painted this Nativity set...Well my mom said he did, I personally don't remember it. But I have always loved this set as a child and this Christmas my mom passed it on to me. I nearly cried I was so excited. I am so thrilled to have this in my house. I loved my Uncle Skipper and I love this Nativity scene.

Santa's Helper...Sophie's hat...

Also this year, Keith and I decided that since we hope to have children soon that we wanted to go ahead and get our "elf" and have it as a part of our tradition. Here is the book, beside it sits 2 red tree things that I got from Hobby Lobby.

Ernie the Elf.

Merry Christmas to all and to all a Goodnight!!!!
